It is required by the City of Toronto when applying for a permit to remove a tree protected under the city's private tree bylaw or street tree bylaw, and is commonly required as part of a development application. Our reports include a site visit, tree inventory, condition assessment, and written recommendations - prepared to meet the City of Toronto's submission requirements.

A Tree Inventory Report catalogues every tree on a site - species, size, condition, and location - and is typically required as part of a site plan application or development proposal. It gives planners, engineers, and landscape architects the data they need to make informed decisions about which trees to retain, relocate, or remove. Our inventory reports are delivered in a format compatible with City of Toronto site plan submissions and include a scaled site plan showing tree locations.
Tree Protection Zone Reports
A Tree Protection Zone (TPZ) Report establishes the minimum protection area around a tree during construction and specifies the protective measures required to prevent root and crown damage. It is required by the City of Toronto whenever construction activity occurs within the drip line of a protected tree. Our TPZ reports include a site plan showing protection fencing locations, specifications for tree protection fencing and signage, and a monitoring schedule for the duration of construction.
